PAISLEYS ARE TRULY HIP

I made a journal for a great friend of mine that turned out just as I wanted and thought I would document its creation in photos……note my Smart Water to help me along and my trusty glue brush that accompanies every trip making a new book…..

DYE! DYE! DYE!

I made a custom order for a fellow CCCOE member who went to Italy. She wanted a travel journal and loved the color blue. I knew what I wanted to use but did not have those colors handy so I thought I would just DYE! Dye some velvet, that is. I only dyed enough to cover 2 books but a few nights ago finally used up the rest of the dye on some various fabrics…velvet, hobatai silk and cotton. These fabrics will be used to make more books, cards and become ribbon, as well. Dyeing fabric is one of my truly favorite things. It allows me so much freedom in my creativity.
