THE FACTORY

I am in the midst of preparing for the Craftmas Bizarre 3 which is a lil' less than a month away. One of the managers at my "day job" has gone out on LOA due to a new baby in his life and all of a sudden my freedom to create flew out the window for a few weeks until he gets back. However, I get a day off here and there and I have been feverishly creating with what lil' free time I get. Today is one of those days. Since I am feverishly multi-tasking, dying fabric, drying fabric, starting covers to journals, picking fabric for my cards, stamping, etc., I realized that there is not a room in this house that is not part of the crafting process. One bathroom is devoted to my ironing and sewing needs. The other is where everything being dyed that can't go in the dryer is being hung to dry. The kitchen....well, the kitchen...I hardly leave it. It is where I am concocting all the fabulous colors that will be absorbed by leather, velvet, silk and cotton. It's also where I cut bookboard and cover it. The living room is where I cut fabric and also do things that I can sit down in front of the tube to watch Friday Night Lights, Damages, Dirty Sexy Money and the like. The bedroom is where I lay and dream of new things to make....and where the greatest load of my paper and fabric stash is stored to inspire me as I slumber.

I wish I had more time to do all of this because I am getting in my creative groove as I get closer to the event and I am really enjoying myself watching ideas come to physical fruition.

Signing off now to go get crafty!
